What is Ascribe Surveys?

Ascribe Surveys is a fast, affordable, and accurate market research tool that helps you make informed business decisions by asking internet users survey questions. Users complete survey questions in order to access high-quality content around the web, and content publishers get paid as their users answer. Ascribe Surveys automatically aggregates and analyzes responses through a simple online interface. Ascribe Surveys is fully integrated within the Ascribe Intelligence platform and is powered by Google technology. Users have the ability to further analyze survey results with the other advanced verbatim analytic tools within the Ascribe Intelligence platform.
How do you ensure that each question has a representative sample?

Ascribe Surveys automatically fields a validated, representative sample of respondents in real-time, whenever you want it. We allocate users according to the demographic spread of internet population data in each country.
How do you infer demographics of the respondents?

Demographic information is collected and inferred based on a respondent’s browsing history. The algorithm is the same method Google uses for advertising targeting, and uses significant indicators and patterns in order to determine demographics such as gender and age.
What are the available demographic and geographic segments?

Demographic and geographic segments are used to provide insights about your respondents in the reporting view, or to target your questions. The current available buckets include gender, age (18-24, 25-34, 35-44, and 45+), and region or province.
Can I target my questions to a particular group?

Yes, there are two different ways to target respondents. You can either select one of the demographic or geographic buckets, or you can ask a preliminary “screening” question. For example, you could target a survey to women, or you could ask a screening question such as “Are you a small business owner?”
How much does a survey cost?

Ascribe Surveys are priced on a price per completed response basis, with the cost for each response based on the audience you want to reach. Below we’ve outlined the price per completed response for different types of surveys that do not include screening questions. Please note that the respondent must complete all questions in a survey for the response to be considered complete.

Survey type 1 question survey 2-10 question survey
General population or Android smartphone users, no screening questions ¢10 per completed response $1.00 per completed response
Age, gender, location targeting, no screening questions ¢15 per completed response $1.50 per completed response
Android audience panels, no screening questions ¢30 per completed response $3.00 per completed response

If your survey includes screening questions, the price per completed response will be custom. We determine this price based on a short audience test. Prices for surveys with screening questions start at a minimum of $3.00 per completed response and vary based on length of survey (10 question maximum), target audience, and incidence rate (minimum of 5%).

How long does it take to run a typical survey?
